Wilderness Within - Phoenix

What started as a work trip turned into an adventure. From the moment I was told I’d been selected to attend my company’s National Field Leader Conference, I was on Pinterest and reading blogs, searching for all things Arizona and fun.

As a young girl, my dad built a love of the outdoors and wildlife into my bones. 🥾 If you met him today, you’d understand why I pursued a career in animal medicine—and why I briefly explored wildlife conservation studies in college. Now, as an adult, I never travel without hiking, kayaking, or exploring nature in some form.

Arizona is surrounded by mountains, desert, and breathtaking parks. When we stepped off the plane, it felt as though the cities were built in the mountains rather than around them. We could walk less than a mile and be surrounded by natural beauty!

If we weren’t basking in the sunlight and exploring our desert bliss, we were zipping through towns on scooters, taking Ubers to museums, and diving into all thing's food.

We can’t wait to go back and explore more of Arizona.
