Belize

Sailing across the sea in luxury was a strange and exciting feeling. At times, I felt as though we didn’t belong in the glamour of spiral stair cases, champagne fountains, and crystal chandeliers but as some walked the halls without a glance, our lack of experience in a world of riches gave us childlike enthusiasm at every turn of our head. We spent our days at sea eating 3-course meals and laughing as we joked about if our “hedge funds were hedging,” but what we enjoyed far more than the sparkle of our Carribean Titanic were the 3 countries we had the opportunity to explore.

Belize 🇧🇿 , Honduras 🇭🇳 , and Mexico 🇲🇽 were amazing and I’m excited to share all that I’ve learned. From the strong communities of Belize that outshined poverty, the lush jungle that kisses the sea in Honduras, to the passionate people of Mexico who continuously work to restore the 2nd largest coral reef in the world. This trip offered insight that is misconstrued here in the U.S. and I’m grateful for opportunities that give a different perspective and allow me to share my stories and encourage others to adventure beyond their home.

If you were to ask me my recommendations I would say, a cruise is worth it, if you aren’t sure where you want to travel—it gives you a brief glimpse into a different world, but it does not give you enough time to fully take in a different culture. Regardless, my notebook is full of new knowledge and my heart wide open! 🛳️🌎
